The Cert III in Visual Arts is designed as a beginner course where you will gain a practical introduction to painting and drawing. This course is designed to guide you through a step by step process to learn and understand the fundamental skills and techniques of drawing, painting, and printmaking. Through a practical hands-on approach, this course will develop confidence in your artistic skills.

There will be an emphasis on the creative development process in which you will be encouraged to record your own ideas in preparation for an artwork. This course will build your confidence in your artistic ability as you produce your own original drawings, paintings, and prints.

In addition, you will learn to develop and refine your drawing and painting techniques and think creatively through experimentation as the year progresses. You will generate your own ideas and experiment with materials to produce artworks ready to exhibit. Through a practical, hands-on approach, the program will give you confidence as an artist and establish your individual creative style.
